Linq Photonics develops advanced photonic control systems for next-generation computing applications. Our work combines embedded systems, PCB development, and experimental hardware testing in a fast-paced startup environment focused on rapid prototyping and hands-on engineering.

We are looking for a part-time Working Student in Electronics Development (16 hours/week) to support PCB design using KiCad, microcontroller programming, and hardware testing. You will work with directly with the CTO on communication interfaces such as CAN, USB, and SPI, assist with analog electronics development, and contribute to laboratory validation and documentation of electronic systems.

Type: Part-time - 16 hours / week

Location: Heidelberg, DE

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) using KiCad

  • Support microcontroller programming (e.g., Arduino, ATM32)

  • Assist in implementing and testing communication interfaces such as CAN, USB, and SPI

  • Work with analog electronic components, including amplifiers and signal conditioning circuits

  • Conduct performance testing and validation using modern electronic measurement equipment

  • Document development processes, test results, and design iterations

Your Profile
  • Currently enrolled student

  • Practical experience with PCB design tools (KiCad)

  • Basic knowledge of microcontroller programming (C/C++ or similar)

  • Hands-on mentality and interest in working with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters)

  • Structured, independent working style and strong problem-solving skills
